David N. Walker

David currently has ten books on the market.

His nonfiction devotional Heaven Sent became available on Amazon.com as a Kindle download in June of 2012 and is now out in paperback on CreateSpace.com. The Nook version is now out also. For more information, click “Heaven Sent” in the dropdown under “Books” in this website.

Christianity 101: The Simplified Christian Life was published in the fall of 2014 and also has a dropdown under “Books” in this website.

His latest, Ruth, was published in October, 2016. It also has a dropdown under “Books” in this website.

In addition to fiction and Christian nonfiction, David posts two blogs a week on this website, under the title “Where the Heart Is.” Go there now to read his most current post, or scroll through the 300 or so previous posts under “Categories” in the sidebar of his blog.

David is a former member and vice-president of Freelance Writers Network of Fort Worth and a former member and award winner of the Oklahoma Writers Federation, Inc. He co-founded and helped run the Warrior Writers’ Boot Camp, a group dedicated specifically to training new writers in the skills of writing novels.

More recently, he has helped form a small group of novel writers who meet to help and encourage one another without the formality of organizational structure. They have chosen not to have a name or elect officers.

David is a former member of Toastmasters, International, where he won several speech contests. He is also a former member of Optimist International, serving as Charter President of the Evening Optimist Club of Lawton, Oklahoma, and as Distinguished President of the Breakfast Optimist Club of Fort Worth. He also served as Lieutenant Governor in both the North Texas and Oklahoma Districts, as well as serving as a District Chairman in the Oklahoma District.

In addition to his devotional book and his frequent Christian-themed blog posts, David serves as leader of his Sunday School class, and he loves to talk about Jesus with anyone who is interested.
